Question
How do I clear the browser cache on my MAC?
Answer
Browser's cache is the temporary storage location where files are downloaded to the computer by the browser to display websites faster.  At time clearing the browser's cache can help eliminate pages that freeze or don't finish loading.  This document describes how to clear the browser's cache.

The following sections are included:
  1. Launch the Safari browser.

  2. On the Safari menu bar, click the Safari option and select Preferences....  The Preferences window appears.

  3. On the Preferences window, click the Advanced tab.
  4. At the bottom of the window, select the Show Develop menu in menu bar check box.

  5. Close the Preference window.
  6. On the Safari menu bar, click the Develop option and select the Empty Caches.

  1. Launch the Firefox browser.

  2. On the Firefox menu bar, click the Firefox option and select Preferences....  The Preferences page appears.

  3. On the Preferences page, click the Privacy tab on the left column.  The Privacy page appears.

  4. On the Privacy page under the History heading, click the clear your recent history link.  The Clear All History window appears.

  5. On the Clear All History window, select the Browsing & Download History, Cookies, and Cache check boxes.
  6. Click the Clear Now button.

  1. Launch the Chrome browser.

  2. On the Chrome menu bar, click the Chrome option and select Clear Browsing Data....  The Clear browsing data window appears.

  3. On the Clear browsing data window, click the drop-down window to select the time range for clear browsing data. 
  4. Select the Cookies and other sites and plugin data  and Cached images and files checkboxes.
  5. Click the Clear Browsing Data button.
