How do I enable Link Aggregation on my SB8200 modem?
NOTE: The LAG feature is available on firmware version SB8200.0200.174F.174.311915.NSH.RT.NA and later.
Ethernet Link Aggregation (LAC) combines multiple wired connections (i.e. using two LAN Gigabit Ethernet ports) in parallel to increase throughput beyond what a single connection could sustain. An important reason for using link aggregation is to provide redundancy in case one of the individual Ethernet ports fails. This allows client devices (e.g. NAS, Managed network switch, or router) with Ethernet Link Aggregation support to achieve bandwidth up to 2 Gbps (WAN) for wired connections.
