SBG10: Locating the Firmware Version

Where can I find the firmware version in my SBG10 Gateway?
The firmware version of the SBG10 is located in the Web Manager.  Some features may vary depending on the firmware version on the SBG10.  This document describes how to locate the firmware version in the Web Manager.  

Firmware updates on cable modems are handled only by Cable Operators (MSOs) per DOCSIS Specifications.  For more information refer to article # 5524 - Upgrading Firmware on Cable Devices.      

Locate Firmware Version in the Web Manager    
  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter into the address box and press the Enter key.  The Login page will appear.

    NOTE: A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to by-pass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
  2. On the Login page, click the Device Status button.  The SBG10 Device Status page will appear.

  3. On the SBG10 Device Status page, locate the Firmware Version.  Click the Close button to exit.
