Question
Is the SBG6782 compatible with VoIP (Voice Over IP)?
Answer

In certain situations, it may be desired to use a VoIP (Voice over IP) device with the SBG6782.  The SBG6782 is compatible with VoIP SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) devices, as it includes the SIP ALG Passthrough feature, which is enabled by default.

For VoIP devices that do not use SIP, the SIP ALG Passthrough feature may need to be disabled in the SBG6782.  In some cases, the SBG6782 may also need to be configured to forward ports to the VoIP device.

NOTE: For information regarding the VoIP device, please contact the manufacturer.
