Question
Why is the Parental Controls feature disabled in my SBG7580-AC Gateway?
Answer
On firmware version 9.1.103AA18 and later, the SBG7580-AC is integrated with McAfee® Secure Home Internet.  The Parental Controls features in the SBG7580-AC Web Manager are disabled and grayed out.  ARRIS recommends using the McAfee® Secure Home Internet (SHI) app for Parental Controls functions.  The McAfee® SHI mobile app for Android is available on the Google Play Store and for the iOS on the App Store at no charge.  This document contains the following sections:
Locate Firmware Version
  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page will appear.

NOTE: A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager.  There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager.  For instructions to by-pass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
