Question
What tools can I use to test connectivity in my SBG7580-AC?
Answer
The SBG7580-AC includes various tools that are used for troubleshooting IP connectivity issues.  The trace route tool is used to map the network path from the SBG7580-AC to a remote device on the Internet.  This can be useful when a device fails the ping test.  If the device can be accessed, the trace route tool will display every hop taken to get to the destination.  If it cannot be accessed, the SBG7580-AC will display the last hop taken before the connection terminated.  This is useful to pinpoint the location of a connectivity issue.  This document describes how to us the trace route tool.
