Question
How do I customize the Guest Wi-Fi Network on the SBG8300?
Answer
The Guest Wi-Fi network is a separate network that guests devices connect to for Internet access.  The SBG8300 broadcasts two different guest Wi-Fi networks independently over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands.  The use of a separate Guest Wi-Fi network enhances network security, while preventing communication to the main Wi-Fi network and Ethernet connected client devices.

When the Guest Wi-Fi network is enabled, the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is the same as the main Wi-Fi network followed by a Guest suffix.  The Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password can be customized.  The Guest Wi-Fi network is enabled by default.  This document describes how to customize the Guest Wi-Fi network.
