Question

How do I switch SURFboard devices on the SURFboard Central app?

Answer

NOTE: This article applies to the Arris SURFboard mAX Mesh products (PRO, PLUS, DASH, Express), SURFboard Cable Modems (S33, SB6121, SB6141, SB6183, SB6190, SB8200, SBV3202, SBV2402, T25), and SURFboard Wi-Fi Cable Modems (G34, G36, SBG10, SBG6950AC2, SBG7400AC2, SBG7580-AC, SBG7600AC2, SBG8300), and SURFboard Extenders (W6B, W6U).

The SURFboard Central app supports 2 devices (a combination of cable modem and router, modem and extender, Wi-Fi cable modem and extender, Wi-Fi cable modem and router, or router and extender) that are installed at the same location. This document describes how to switch between two SURFboard devices using the SURFboard Central app.

Switch SURFboard Device

NOTE: The mAX Router, Cable Modem, Gateway, Gaming Adapter, and or Wi-Fi 6E Extender buttons on the top of the screen are only available when 2 of the devices are added to the SURFboard Central app.

Tap the My Network icon at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the Cable Modem, Gateway, Gaming Adapter, and or Wi-Fi 6E Extender box.
The SURFboard Central screen switches to the Cable Modem, Gateway, Gaming Adapter, and or Wi-Fi 6E Extender screen. Tap the mAX Router button.
The mAX Router screen will return.
