Question
How can I find information about my ARRIS Wi-Fi product using the ARRIS SURFboard Manager app?
Answer
The SURFboard Manager app provides a quick way to view certain details about the managed ARRIS Wi-Fi product.  This document describes how to find the details of the ARRIS Wi-Fi product using the ARRIS SURFboard Manager app.


View Wi-Fi Gateway Details
  1. Tap the SURFboard icon.  The Login screen will appear.
     
  2. On the Login screen, enter admin in the Username field and password in the Password field.

    NOTE: If the default login credentials were previously changed please enter those custom credentials.  If the customized login credentials are forgotten, a factory reset must be performed by pressing the reset button for more than 10 seconds on the SURFboard Wi-Fi product.  This will reset all customized settings back to the original default settings.

     
  3. Tap the Login button.  The ARRIS home screen will appear.

  4. On the SURFboard Home screen, under Devices, tap the ARRIS gateway.  The Wireless Gateway Details screen will appear.

  5. On the Wireless Gateway Details screen, scroll down and tap the Show More link.

  6. On the Wireless Gateway Details screen, details of the Wireless Gateway will be displayed.
    • ​Manufacturer: The manufacturer of the device.
    • Model: The model number of the managed ARRIS device.
    • Hardware: The type of Wi-Fi band of the ARRIS device.
    • 2.4 GHz Band: The set channel for the 2.4 GHz band, and the bandwidth.
    • 5 GHz Band: The set channel for the 5 GHz band, and the bandwidth.
    • MAC Address: The MAC address of the Wi-Fi gateway.
    • Local Hostname/Local IP Address: On RipCurrent products, shows the local hostname for gateway Web Management access.  On SURFboard cable gateways, shows the local IP address for gateway Web Manager access.
    • Internet IP Address: The public WAN IP Address for the Wi-Fi gateway.
