Question
How do I reserve an IP address to a client in my SVG2482AC Gateway?
Answer
In certain cases, it is best for a client to receive a particular IP address from the SVG2482AC and always keep that address without having to manually configure it in the client.  This can be accomplished by reserving an IP Address to a client's MAC address.   When the client disconnects and reconnects to the SVG2482AC, it will receive the IP address that has been reserved for it.

It is recommended to setup an IP Address Reserve for clients that are configured to use Port Forwarding or DMZ.  This document describes how to reserve an IP address to a client connected to the SVG2482AC.

Reserve an IP Address

  2. On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.

  3. Enter password in the Password field then click the Login button.  The Gateway > At a Glance page will appear.
