Question
How do I establish a wireless connection using Windows 10?
Answer
This document describes how to configure Windows 10 to establish a wireless connection with a wireless gateway. 

NOTE : This document assumes that the wireless gateway and the wireless client are functioning properly, and that the wireless gateway is configured correctly for a wireless connection.

Requirements:
  • Network Name: The default network name is listed on the label on the bottom of the Wi-Fi Router.
  • Wi-Fi Security Key :The default security key is listed on the label on the bottom of the Wi-Fi Router.
 
To Establish a Wireless Connection
 
  1. Gather Wi-Fi Network Name and Wi-Fi Security Key located on the bottom of the Wi-Fi Router.
     
  2. Click on the wireless icon on the lower right corner of the desk top.

  3. On the wireless network pane, select the Wi-Fi Network listed on the Wi-Fi router.

  4. Check the Connect automatically checkbox if it is desired to automatically connect to the selected network in the future and click the Connect button.

  5. If prompted to do so, enter the network security key (password) for the selected network and click the Next button.

  6. The list of wireless network will now appear, and the selected network will now show that it is connected.
