Windows: Clearing Browser Cache

Question
How do I clear the browser cache on my Windows machine?
Answer
Browser's cache is the temporary storage location where files are downloaded to the computer by the browser to display websites faster.  At certain times, clearing the browser's cache can help eliminate pages that freeze or have not loaded properly.  This document describes how to clear the browser's cache.

The following sections are included:
  1. Launch the Internet Explorer browser.

    Right click on the image to save it to your computer.
     
  2. On the Internet Explorer menu, click the Setting logo on the top right corner and select Internet options.  The Internet options window appears.

  3. On the Internet options window, select General tab and click the Delete button.  The Delete Browsing History window appears.

  4. On the Delete Browsing History window, select all check boxes.  
  5. Click the Delete button.

  1. Launch the Firefox browser.

  2. On the Firefox menu, click the Setting logo menu on the top right corner and select Options.  The About preferences window appears.

  3. On the About preferences window, select the Privacy tab and click the clear your recent history link.

  4. On the Clear All History window, select Everything from the Time range to clear pull-down men and check mark all check boxes below.  
  5. Click the Clear Now button.

  1. Launch the Chrome browser.

  2. On the Chrome menu, click the Setting logo on the top right corner and select Settings.  The Settings window appears.

  3. On the Settings window, click the Show Advance Settings link at the bottom of the page.  The advanced settings expand.

  4. Scroll down and locate Privacy and then click the Clear browsing data link.  The Clear browsing data window appears.

  5. On the Clear browsing data window, select all check boxes.  
  6. Click the Clear browsing data button.
