Question
How do I change the Network Health recommendation sensitivity?
Answer
NOTE: This article applies to the mAX WC4S, WC4T, W21, W121, W122 Express, W30, W130, W31, W133, W61, and the W161 Routers.

The Network Health recommended sensitivity is set to Medium by default and can be changed to Low or High.  Recommended troubleshooting steps are provided to improve Wi-Fi clients, Satellite, and Internet connection.


Change Recommendation Sensitivity
  1. Tap the Network Health box on the Home screen.

  2. Tap the Gear icon.

  3. Tap the slider under Low or High to change it.
     
  4. Under the section, You will be notified as soon as your: tap the Connected Device(s) signal strength is very low, Satellites(s) signal strength is very low, Satellite(s) link rate is very low, and or ISP Speed drop is very high link to view the additional information.

    The Connected Devices screen displays the sensitivity as Low, Medium, or High when the Recommendation sensitivity is changed.  A suggested recommendation occurs when the connected Wi-Fi client device's signal is less than -80 dbm (Low sensitivity), -75 dbm (Medium sensitivity), and -70 dbm (High sensitivity).

    The Satellite(s) signal strength screen displays the sensitivity as Low, Medium, or High when the Recommendation sensitivity is changed.  A suggested recommendation occurs when the connected Satellite is connected less than -80 dbm (Low sensitivity), -75 dbm (Medium sensitivity), and - 70 dbm (High sensitivity).

    The Satellite Link Rate screen displays the sensitivity as Low, Medium, and or High when the Recommendation sensitivity is changed.  A suggested recommendation occurs when the connected Satellite is connected less than 0.35 Gbps (Low sensitivity), 0.7 Gbps (Medium sensitivity), and or 1.0 Gbps (High sensitivity).

    The ISP Speed Rate screen displays the Sensitivity as Low, Medium, and or High when the Recommendation sensitivity is changed.  A suggested recommendation occurs when the Internet speed drops below 50% (Low sensitivity), 25% (Medium sensitivity), and 10% (High sensitivity).
