Question
How do I setup a Guest Wi-Fi Network in my mAX Router?
Answer
NOTE: This article applies to the mAX WC4S, WC4T, W21, W121, W122 Express, W30, W130, W31, W133, W61, and the W161 Routers.

Enable the Guest Wi-Fi network to provide Internet access to guest devices without providing access to the home network.  The Guest Wi-Fi network is separated from the home network and only broadcast over the 2.4 GHz radio band.

Guest Wi-Fi Network Setup
  1. Tap the My Network icon at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Tap the Network Management box.

  3. Swipe the Enable/Disable Guest Network slider to the right.

  4. Enter a new wireless network name in the Network name (SSID) field. 

    NOTE: The W61 Guest Wi-Fi network is preconfigured with a network Name (SSID), Wi-Fi password, and WPA2-PSK (AES) security type.  It can be customized as needed.

     
  5. Enter a new wireless password in the Password field. 

    Requirements:
    • Passwords should be 8 characters long. 
    • Use upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols for strength.
  6. Tap the Save Changes button.

  7. On the Alert pop-up box, tap the OK button.

    NOTE: The Wi-Fi connection on the mAX Router will drop.  Allow a few minutes for the mAX Wi-Fi connection to come back online.

  8. Tap the Guest Wi-Fi Network + button to expand the card.
     
  9. The created Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and Password are shown in the green box.   

    NOTE: To disable the Guest Wi-Fi Network swipe the Enable/Disable Guest Network slider to the left.
